The Foundation

The goal is to support Freemasonry buildings in BC Yukon with financial support that does not have to be paid back. Examples of support are: monies for doing small renovations, offering website support to increase event rental income if possible, helping with annual property taxes, etc.

The Goal

A Foundation/Charity is formed to receive charitable donations and bequeathed money to help maintain and support Freemasonry building in BC & Yukon. This foundation will be able to offer tax receipts to anyone that donates to it.

Some of the Foundations funds will be used to help start and support the Fund to get it up and running. Investors in the Fund will have a choice to give their annual dividend to the Foundation and get a tax receipt. In the long term, ten plus years from now after 2 buildings have been redeveloped, the Fund itself will be able to donate funds to the Foundation annually. This will help the Foundation to support buildings that did not join the Fund and do charitable work itself which is mandated by the rules of being a Foundation. Note: 50% of the annual growth off investments in the Foundation must be donated to Charities annually.
